Lowell Observatory Camps for Kids: Middle School Summer Camp

These activity-based, week-long day camps run from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. They are for students that will be going into 7th, 8th, or 9th grade in the fall. The topic of the camps is “Introduction to Astronomy”. Campers will enjoy learning about topics in astronomy through fun, hands-on science experiments. They will learn how to identify constellations, how to locate deep-sky objects and how to operate portable telescopes. Other activities will include hiking, drawing, playing games, and more.

Session 2: June 19-23

 

Members: $250 per student

Nonmembers: $275 per student

 

Extended care will be offered from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. for an additional fee.
