Taliesin West is the backdrop for a weeklong photographic journey. Photographer Andrew Pielage will guide students in capturing the Sonoran Desert and UNESCO World Heritage site around them.
Campers will explore a few “tree-mendous” desert shelters at Taliesin West, created by Wright’s apprentices. They will then create a 3D model of their dream tree house to take home.
During this class, we’ll examine some of Wright’s furniture pieces, learn about other unique types of furniture, and make our own paper furniture models to take home.
Does your child dream of being an architect? During this 3-day workshop, we’ll discuss how to design buildings for tricky environments, landscapes, and clients!
Students will learn about the history of wind power, how architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed a windmill (Romeo & Juliet), and then build their own functioning windmill.
Teens will learn the basic principles of interior design and explore the items Frank Lloyd Wright designed for home interiors, such as furniture, lighting, and textiles.
Want to learn more about the basics of architecture and design? Campers will spend a week creating their own building plans during this project-based camp!
