Over the course of 7 days, students learn about issues related to racism, sexism, classism, and other injustices that affect their lives and learn appropriate and effective methods of discussing social-justice topics. Teens that experience Anytown leave the program equipped with a variety of skills and receive a certificate for 50 hours of leadership training.

At Anytown Leadership Program, Inc., we believe change starts with a conversation. And, we believe that when people respect and know how to communicate with others who are different from them, everyone benefits.

Anytown Leadership Camp is the premier diversity, leadership and social-justice program in Arizona – empowering youth to become change-agents in their schools and in their communities.  Our program is the only one of its kind with an almost 100-year history and the only leadership program that intentionally brings together teenagers of different cultures, faiths and other social identifiers to learn appropriate and effective methods of discussing difficult topics, such as differences of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, socio-economic status, and other social identifiers.

Anytown Leadership Camp was born out of the belief that respectful dialogue between people from different backgrounds can bring about positive changes in our communities. You may already be familiar with our history - but Anytown was started by the National Conference for Christians & Jews (NCCJ) - an interfaith organization that started in 1927.

Each year during our summer camp sessions, students participate in Faith & Culture night/ Interfaith Celebration, where they give presentations to the community at large on their different faith and culture groups. In the past 2 years we've had over 17 faith groups represented and 25 cultures represented. It is a powerful evening in which we celebrate and embrace our different and sameness within our community.

Youth participants that attend Anytown, receive a certificate for 50 hours of leadership training/ service.
