Located at Taliesin West, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Arizona home, Camp Taliesin West encourages participants to explore, create, and design as they engage in fun and educational activities. What does a community need to be healthy, safe, and beautiful? Frank Lloyd Wright tried to answer those questions with a planned community he called Broadacre City. Using Wright’s work as inspiration, campers will look at the concerns facing urban planners and cities today. We will explore the history of urban planning and design, and how architecture can be used to improve communities and people’s lives. We will then plan and design 3D models for our communities to inhabit.
