Through this service project for our unhoused neighbors, children get hands-on experience being part of caring for the community. The afternoon, designed for young elementary-aged children, includes a story and reflection, time in service together, and making new friends.  We will be decorating brown bags that will be filled with non-perishable food items. These bags will be distributed to unhoused neighbors through various organizations in Tempe. While based in the Episcopal tradition, this volunteer opportunity is open to any child looking to care for others in need. Younger and older siblings are welcome to attend and participate as their skills allow. Adults stay with their children for the duration of the event.
