Conservation Science Night at Phoenix Zoo

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 02/23/2024
Join us for an exciting evening celebrating the Phoenix Zoo’s conservation efforts! Engage with conservation scientists and discover the impactful work we’re doing to preserve species in Arizona and worldwide.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

This is a family-friendly event with a focus on school-age children, but there is something for everyone! This year’s interactive stations include:

  • Learning what an ethogram is and using it to catalog animal behavior
  • Using a black light to identify tagged narrow-headed gartersnakes
  • Seeing if you can find our nocturnal Black-footed ferrets with a technique called spotlighting

Conservation Science Night is an Arizona SciTech Festival Signature Event!
