Foothills Speaker Series: The Story of Cacti

Join us for an evening exploring how cacti survive some of the harshest conditions on Earth, with Dr. Ken Sweat of Arizona State University.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Cacti are a unique group of plants, covered in spines and built to survive some of the harshest conditions on Earth. Ken Sweat of Arizona State University explores the adaptations that let cacti thrive where most other plants can't, along with the diversity of form and habitat found across this large plant family.
