Hands on History - Plan Your City Discovery Day

Have you ever wondered who decides where parks, schools, and houses go in a city?
Cities are carefully planned so people have places to live, work, and have fun. Litchfield Park incorporated elements of the New Town movement when it was planned, which features many kinds of houses and businesses and schools that are easy to walk or bike to.
Kids will design and create their own city in a hands-on activity while exploring basic concepts of city planning and learning about the New Town movement in local history. Drop in during our museum hours for this FREE ACTIVITY.
