Parents! Your kids might meet their new favorite author, and she’s only 11.
Join us for a special kids event celebrating TRAPPED, the exciting debut adventure novel by young author Bella Olson.
Bella is traveling across the country meeting readers and sharing the story behind her book. During the event, kids will hear how she came up with the idea for TRAPPED, ask questions about writing and creativity, and meet Bella during a book signing.
This fun, family-friendly evening is designed for kids who love books, imagination, and storytelling.
About the Book
TRAPPED is a wildly imaginative adventure about a brilliant young inventor who finds herself inside a mysterious facility run by a very eccentric scientist. With quick thinking, courage, and help from a magic chicken, she must puzzle her way through strange traps and bizarre challenges to find her way out again. The story moves fast, makes kids laugh, and keeps them turning pages. Along the way it reinforces the kinds of themes parents love to see in the books their children read: bravery even when you feel scared, solving problems when things do not go as planned, and the confidence to embrace what makes you unique. As Bella likes to say, “weird is the new cool.”
Filled with mystery, unexpected twists, and brave characters, TRAPPED is an adventure about friendship, creativity, and figuring things out when nothing goes according to plan.
About the Author
Bella Olson is the high-energy YouTube creator behind Avocado Awesomeness, a channel that has been gaining national attention for its fun, uplifting, and imaginative content for kids. Now she is bringing that same creativity to the page with her debut novel, TRAPPED, releasing April 21.
Bella loves storytelling, adventure, and inspiring other kids to use their imagination. She believes weird is cool, and her creativity even led her to invent a brand new word: “hungrified.” TRAPPED is her first novel, and Phoenix is one of the stops on her national bookstore tour.
