Disney's The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world, and now CYT brings it to life on the Mesa Arts Center stage!
The blockbuster movie, turned into record breaking Broadway show, features the music of Elton John and Tim Rice who beautifully blend western popular music with African rhythms into a Broadway style that’s like no other. Over 80 million people have seen it around the world, and it has earned more than 70 international awards. The New York Daily News called it “ a perfect marriage of entertainment and art”.
The African savannah comes to life on our stage now with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle... and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.
