MLK March on West

*The event has already taken place on this date: Tue, 01/19/2021
Join us for the 30th Annual MLK March on West – held online, free and open to all. The annual Martin Luther King Jr. March on West is a tradition at Arizona State University's West campus that dates back to 1991, reaching middle school students, members of the ASU community and the public. This year, educational presentations about the history of the civil rights movement along with the "march" and the program will be held online. Participants will experience a visual mix of live presentations and video clips of the historical 1963 March on Washington, D.C. and past MLK Marches on West. Enjoy a musical program and hear a live rendition of the inspirational "I Have a Dream" speech, reenacted by ASU faculty member Charles St. Clair.
