Types Of Missions And Rooms In The Exhibition
Missions
OceanXperience offers a variety of guided research missions. You can choose to be an "Xplorer" and study orca group dynamics, and learn how they coexist by virtually tagging an animal and collecting data. You can also research the complex communication of humpback whales or the tropical habitat of great hammerhead sharks.
Rooms in the Exhibition
Record your research using RFID technology wristbands as you move throughout the exhibition and explore recreations of the OceanXplorer’s most exciting rooms - including Mission Control, the Bridge, Wet and Dry Labs, and the Sub Hangar. In the groundbreaking HoloLab wear a HoloLens 2 headset and learn how to use technology for scientific research and collaboration.
In the immersive area, visitors can view footage of an OceanX submersible descending into the ocean depths, accompanied by authentic sights and sounds captured during previous OceanXplorer missions. The experience delivers an unforgettable feeling of being a daring marine explorer 40,000 leagues under the sea.
OceanXperience aims to increase awareness of our oceans and inspire lifelong learners, future conservationists, and changemakers.
It's your turn to go deep-sea exploring—without leaving dry land!
OceanXperience is a traveling exhibition based on a forthcoming television series produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit and OceanX in association with Earthship Productions for National Geographic, is created and toured internationally by Flying Fish.
