Rescue Roundup

Activities will be in the east parking lot of the hospital, 13677 W. McDowell Road in Goodyear. Free food and drinks will be provided. Car seat safety checks will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a bike rodeo and bike helmet fittings.
Blood donations can be made at the United Blood Services bloodmobile from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. which will be parked in the Abrazo West Campus parking lot as part of the Rescue Roundup. The United Blood Services Blood Drop man will pose for photos with visitors.
Children and adults will be able to tour fire ladder trucks, ambulances, helicopters and a SWAT truck and meet a K9 dog.
There will be many educational booths providing health information including stroke prevention, prescription medication and cardiac health. Hands-only CPR education also will be provided.
Community partners include Partners for Health, Avondale, Buckeye Valley, Buckeye, Goodyear, Phoenix, Rural Metro and Surprise fire departments, Goodyear Police Department, Bureau of Land Management, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, American Heart Association, City of Goodyear, United Blood Services, Donor Network of Arizona, Grand Canyon University, Chamberlain University, Phoenix Coyotes and ambulance companies.
Girl Scouts who attend the Rescue Roundup can fulfill multiple requirements for badges.
