Two 45-minute back-to-back Workshops
Math Workshops use the data from the
Science Workshops to practice a variety of math skill
- Each science and math workshop consists of an introduction to the concept followed by exploratory learning activities
- The scientific method steps of “Hypothesis, Experiment, and Results” are followed for each science activity.
- Activity worksheets are used to record findings.
- Each math activity uses data from a science activity. This reinforces concepts from the science activity
- Students work in teams of 2 or 3 – Teams can be parent/child or student/student
Science taught by Trudy Sherman, Ph.D.
Dr. Sherman has been teaching hands-on science in Montessori and charter schools for over 30 years
Math taught by Jennifer Sherman, MA Ed, MS Ed
Jennifer has a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees in education. She has been a teacher and principal
