Performances: 11 AM & 2 PM on June 24th at the Tempe Center for the Arts
Collaborating with the performance class, stagecraft students participate in the design and technical theatre process from imagination to implementation. In this three-week class with a progressive curriculum, stagecraft students are active creative partners in this production at the Tempe Center for the Arts.
Take center stage with this skill-intensive performance class! Students refine acting skills through the process of auditioning, rehearsing, and performing in a full-length play. Professional actors, directors, and choreographers straight off Childsplay's stages will direct Newsies, including Associate Artist Jon Gentry. The first two weeks of rehearsals are on our main campus and the final week students rehearse at the Tempe Center for the Arts with final performances at 11 am and 2 pm on Friday, June 26th.
