The land that the Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve sits on has many stories to tell. In honor of the Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve's 30th Anniversary, "Tales From the Land" will take you on a journey through the many different lives of the land.
Learn about its formation and how it served as a home for petroglyph makers and stone tool craftsmen, as well as how it became an archaeological site and later a museum and petroglyph preserve. Learn about the people who shaped it into the space you know and love today. Watch the land change over time through historic images of the land and learn how it has been utilized throughout time.
Join us December 14th, 2024 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. to experience the unveiling of the new exhibit. Admission will be free all day. RSVP to the opening premiere to listen to talks from SHESC Director, Ryan Williams, DVPP Assistant Director, John Bello, and other special guests. Light refreshments will be provided.
