*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 11/02/2024
Every year, millions of electronic devices are thrown away—but what happens to them? At the next Teen Tech IRL, teens will learn more about this issue, then dream up innovative solutions for it!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

From cell phones and laptops to household appliances and medical devices, electronic waste (or e-waste) is quickly becoming one of Earth’s prominent forms of waste. But if electronics aren’t going away—how do we help our planet fight this rising issue? At Arizona Science Center’s next Teen Tech IRL on November 2, teens in grades 9-12 will have the opportunity to dream up their own innovative solutions to Earth’s e-waste problem!

Participants will start the day learning the intricacies of e-waste from local experts, then will break into teams to design and prototype new solutions. At the end of the day, teams will present their prototypes to a panel of judges for a chance to win prizes!

Lunch is included. Learn more and register at azscience.org/teens.
