Current 5th to 11th grade students and their families are invited to learn more about the exceptional education offered at Tempe Preparatory Academy at its Information Night tonight, Thursday, December 10 at 6:30 pm on the Tempe Prep campus at 1251 E. Southern Avenue in Tempe.
This is a great opportunity for interested middle and high school families to see what the award-winning Tempe Prep curriculum and robust extracurricular activities are all about.
“At this Information Night, parents and students will be introduced to who we are and how we educate students so successfully,” says Headmaster Dr. Wayne Porter. “They will also be able to speak with current middle school and high school teachers as well as athletic and academic club directors to learn about the exceptional curriculum and robust extracurricular activities offered to middle school and high school students at Tempe Prep.”
Tempe Prep is currently accepting applications for the Fall 2021. The application window runs through Dec. 15, 2020 for inclusion in the Lottery for Fall 2021 Enrollment. The Lottery will take place at our Board of Directors meeting on Jan. 19, 2021 at 6:00 pm.
Tempe Preparatory Academy is a tuition-free, public charter school in Tempe for students in grades 6-12 that provides a nationally acclaimed liberal arts education based on the Great Books of Western Civilization with an exceptional math, science, foreign language, humanities, and fine arts curriculum taught in Socratic-style seminar classes, along with a mission of educating students to pursue Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.
Tempe Prep has been recognized by the Arizona Board of Regents as having the highest percentage of college graduates among all open enrollment public high schools in the state (2020) and has been named the #1 high school in Arizona by Newsweek (America’s Top High Schools 2016).
“Our curriculum is rigorous, preparing students for college, and ultimately career success. Our class sizes are small, as are the teacher loads. We offer a safe and enriching learning environment enriched with arts, athletics and character education,” explains Dr. Porter. “Tempe Prep offers the well-rounded education most parents are seeking for their children.”
Over half of Tempe Prep’s graduates pursue majors and careers in engineering and STEM fields.
