Tinkering with STEM: Connections - Linking Literacy with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics!
When children tinker they learn the use of materials and the power of tools. Taking a refreshing turn in STEM, we follow the lead of author Cate Heroman, Making & Tinkering with STEM: Solving Design Challenges with Young Children (NAEYC, 2017).
Classrooms that support creativity allow for experimentation, providing playful time with materials and tools.
Join us as for this powerful, hands-on collaboration as we re-think curriculum design and strategies, tapping into children’s natural ability to innovate.
