Valley Youth Theatre’s annual presentation of A Winnie-the-Pooh Christmas Tail has become a holiday tradition for generations of Phoenix families. Now in its 24th year, this live-on-stage musical adventure reminds all of us about the importance of caring, sharing and cultivating friends. And, with a cast of local performers, ages 8 and 17, it’s guaranteed to be a fun and festive sing-along show for the entire family!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

A very special Friend-and-Relation tells Christopher Robin a story of a Christmas Eve very long ago (about last year) when Eeyore, the old gray donkey who lives by himself in the thistle corner of Hundred-Acre Wood, was absolutely miserable. It seems that he lost his tail and Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet got all of their friends and a search was organized. There is a great deal of fun and excitement, plus delightful songs, in the adventure that follows. Its theme, which concerns caring, sharing and the importance of cultivating friends, makes this a very special and enchanting musical suitable for any age.

Book, music and lyrics by James W. Rodgers. Inspired by A.A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh.
