Our youth summer sessions offer the classic sleepaway camp experience, with opportunities for youth to spend device-freetime in the outdoors, develop social and problem-solving skills, and learn more about themselves and the world around them. The twist is that Unirondack is not just focussed on creating fun, memorable experiences for young people - we're also focussed on building an incredibly inclusive, supportive, and tight-knit community that enriches camp experiences for everyone. We believe that all youth need to feel a sense of belonging and connectedness with others, and that they need opportunities to grow through trust and autonomy. We make that possible by letting our campers create their own experience as much as possible by choosing their own activities, crafting their own community agreements, and exploring the world around them through hands-on experiences and unstructured time in the outdoors.

Unirondack campers choose their own activities. And there is a LOT to choose from!

we offer about 65 totally original programs every week, born out of the wild imaginations of our talented staff and brought to life with the help of our curious and enthusiastic campers. Everyone at Unirondack is free to choose the activities and programs that spark their interest, and there is always something for everyone. That’s what makes every week at Unirondack a totally unique, one-of-a-kind experience for every participant.

We have all the camp classics - Swimming, boating, outdoor exploration, music, theatre, arts & crafts, group games, ceramics, athletics, DnD, board games, cooking and baking, educational workshops, and discussion groups. But we also have gnome weddings. Intergalactic Model UN. Extreme charcuterie boards. Bad breath contests. Fandom showdowns. And so much more than we could ever list here.
