About Creative Dimensions DJ Workshop
In this online DJ workshop, learners will explore the exciting world of DJing using the djay Pro app. Students will learn the fundamentals of mixing music, including beatmatching, smooth transitions, EQ control, loops, hot cues, effects, playlist building, and live performance techniques. Along the way, learners also build confidence in rhythm, timing, creativity, and self-expression through music. Each class is structured with a short lesson and live demonstration followed by guided hands-on practice. Using screen sharing, interactive exercises, and real DJ examples, students apply new skills directly in the app while receiving personalized feedback and support. DJ challenges assignments between sessions help reinforce concepts and prepare learners for a final DJ performance showcase. The workshop uses a supportive, interactive, and creativity-focused teaching approach designed to help learners build confidence while developing both technical DJ skills and their own artistic style. Every session includes direct instruction, live Q&A, and individualized coaching to ensure students remain engaged and encouraged throughout the learning experience.

Joseph "DJ Dimension" Mercado is an Electronic Music Artist, music educator, comic book author with decades of experience in DJ culture, music production, live performance, and youth arts education, he has developed engaging programs that introduce students to music technology, DJing, and creative self-expression in an accessible and Joseph has led DJ workshops, performances, and creative arts programs for schools, community organizations, performing arts venues, and youth programs throughout Arizona and worldwide online. His teaching combines technical DJ fundamentals with creativity, collaboration, and confidence-building while inspiring youth to Be M.E.G.A. (Motivated, Empowered, Grateful, and Artistic) . Through music and performance culture, students are encouraged to discover their own DJ style, build confidence, and develop skills that extend beyond the classroom.
