These activity-based, week-long day camps meet Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with graduation and family activities on Friday evening. We will enroll students based on the grade they will be entering in the fall. For example, if a student will be going into 1st or 2nd grade, he/she should enroll in the 1st/2nd-grade camp.
1st/2nd Grades | The Solar System
Campers will enjoy learning about the objects in our Solar System through fun, hands-on science experiments. Campers will also get to create and take home a moving model of the Solar System. Other activities will include hiking, drawing, playing games, and more.
3rd/4th Grades | Galaxies
Campers will start with a tour of our amazing galaxy – the Milky Way – that will cover things like star birth and death (including the formation of black holes). Campers will learn about the other galaxies in our Universe throughout the remainder of the camp and will get to go home with a beautiful model galaxy. Other activities will include hiking, drawing, playing games, and more.
5th/6th Grades | Life on Other Worlds
Campers will start with an incredible tour of our planet – Earth – that will focus on life in all its forms. They will then explore the possibility of life existing elsewhere in the Universe. Camp participants will build a rover and will also send a personal message to a distant star system. Other activities will include hiking, drawing, playing games, and more.
