Make Music Phoenix returns on Father's Day, Sunday, June 21, with a free citywide celebration featuring 100+ artists at 20+ venues across 10+ ZIP codes. Families can explore live performances, hands-on music activities, workshops, open mics, instrument crafts, giveaways, and interactive experiences happening throughout the day.
Start your morning at Rosie's House for the Kickoff Celebration: 30 Years of Music, featuring free breakfast, face painting, balloon twisting, a drum circle, instrument petting zoo, DIY instrument-making, a kid-friendly DJ workshop, raffles, and live performances. Young music lovers can sing, dance, and play at the Children's Museum of Phoenix, discover instruments from around the world during a free Family Field Trip at the Musical Instrument Museum, or experience Indigenous music and storytelling at the Heard Museum.
Families can also enjoy the powerful sounds of Japanese taiko drumming at Fushicho Daiko Dojo and participate in free family dance classes at BE KIND Community Education Center on Grand Avenue. Additional family-friendly activities include ukulele exploration, instrument crafts, and drum circles at Thunderbird Arts Center; recording artist experiences at Phoenix Center for the Arts; classical music and interactive circle singing at Arizona Opera; and Kids Passport venues where children can collect stickers and explore music across the city.
