Ocotillo Library & Workforce Literacy Center
The library's Workforce Literacy Center assists job seekers by offering classes in resume writing, interviewing skills, and computer use. It also offers PhoenixWorks - a collection of materials to support workforce needs including resume writing, occupational testing, language learning and computer skills. Remodeling to construct the workforce literacy center was funded through a one-time 2008-2009 Community Development Block Grant Stimulus awarded to the City of Phoenix under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The total project cost was just over $1.6 million. The library also offers a multi-purpose meeting room that seats 22.
