The Rio Reimagined

To support and enhance thw treasured Salt and Gila Rivers' corridor, the Rio Reimagined initiative is currently centered on three objectives that were developed by local, state, federal, and tribal government partners in 2018 to help guide the initiative in its early stages. These objective include: connecting communities, supporting equitable and sustainable deveopment, and revitalizing and restorind healthy rivers. Of particular note is the connecting communities objective which focuses on cultivating public spaces to unite us, enrich people’s lives through access to open space and recreation, create opportunities for education, and promote diverse programming to inspire support for a healthy river ecosystem.
