St. Joseph’s Youth Camp is a nondenominational, nonprofit youth camp located in Mormon Lake, Arizona (just outside of Flagstaff). As a traditional youth camp, SJYC provides youth ages 6 to 17, week-long day and overnight opportunities to get outdoors, learn from nature, and develop as individuals. Families LOVE us because (1) we prioritize safety, (2) our activities are so much fun, (3) we provide bus transportation from the Phoenix area, and (4) we're one of Arizona's most affordable day and overnight camp options.

That’s exactly the memorable and transformative experience that St. Joseph's Youth Camp has been committed to creating for 75 years.

St. Joseph’s Youth Camp is a non-denominational, 501(c)3 nonprofit camp located 30 minutes southeast of Flagstaff, AZ, and 2.5 hours north of Phoenix. We provide bus transportation for all camp sessions (the overnight camp bus runs from Phoenix to camp and back, and the day camp bus runs from Flagstaff to camp and back).

Our Summer Camp Programs:

Day Camp for Ages 6-12: Discover the magic of SJYC with our brand-new Day Camp program for families in and around the Flagstaff area! Tailored for campers ages 6 to 12, our Day Camp offers an exciting array of activities that promise a day full of fun and learning. From archery and arts & crafts, to creative STEAM projects and so much more, each day is designed to ignite curiosity and foster personal growth. In our nurturing environment, campers will build friendships, develop new skills, and explore the great outdoors—all while returning home each evening to share their adventures with family. Overnight Camp for Ages 6-12: Our traditional camper weeks are the heart of our SJYC programs. During their 7-day, 6-night stay, campers ages 6 to 12 will make the best of friends while participating in various fun, traditional camp activities, including horseback riding, archery, and kayaking. Campers continue to learn and grow, exploring STEAM topics, outdoor education, and social-emotional development. Ages 13-14: The Teen Week program is a one-week (7 days, 6 nights) experience for teens ages 13 to 14. During Teen Week, teens participate in various fun, traditional camp activities, including horseback riding, archery, kayaking, and high ropes courses. Our Teen Week campers get a next-level camp experience, with special activities and programs. As part of the SJYC family, they’ll build friendships and memories while beginning to explore leadership and personal development topics. Ages 15-17: The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is a one-week (7 days, 6 nights) experience for teens ages 15 to 17. This long-running program allows counselors to participate in personal development activities and discussions to give them skills in communication, leadership, greater good, positivity, and inclusion. With these skills, they will be ready to be leaders at camp and in their day-to-day lives. If selected, counselors will be asked to return for the camper weeks to put their skills into action (and earn community service hours). LEARN MORE HERE!
