Catholic Week is one of our traditional overnight camp sessions and a favorite among families seeking a joyful, faith‑filled summer experience for their children. During this seven day, six night program, campers ages 6 to 12 experience everything families love about SJYC while also engaging in age‑appropriate Catholic formation.
Each day is filled with classic summer camp activities like horseback riding, archery, kayaking, hiking, arts and crafts, and campfire nights. Campers also explore STEAM topics, outdoor education, and social‑emotional development through hands‑on, engaging programs designed to help them grow in confidence and character.
What makes Catholic Week unique is the intentional integration of faith into the camp experience. In addition to traditional camp activities, campers participate in Mass, catechism, Bible studies, rosary making, and other faith‑based activities that encourage reflection, kindness, and spiritual growth. These moments are woven naturally into the rhythm of camp and are welcoming, joyful, and age appropriate.
While your child is making new friends, trying new things, and having the time of their life, you can have peace of mind knowing they are cared for by experienced, background‑checked staff who treat every camper like family. At SJYC, safety, belonging, and personal growth are at the heart of everything we do.

Catholic Week Includes
- Seven days and six nights of overnight camp
- All lodging and meals
- Arts and crafts, horseback riding, archery, hiking, kayaking, campfire and s’mores, capture the flag, skit night, astronomy, and more
- Catholic programming including Mass, catechism, Bible studies, rosary making, and faith‑based activities
- Transportation from Phoenix to Camp and from Camp back to Phoenix
- Experienced, fun, and background‑checked staff with CPR, First Aid, and AED training
- Camp nurse available 24 hours a day
